We've curated a list of some of the products we use and rely on for cleaning our own cars and motorcycles, so if you're just starting to build up your car washing supplies or want to buy everything someone might need as a gift, it's a great place to start.

We recommend using two or three buckets for any car or motorcycling washing. You can read more about the three bucket method, here, but it just means one bucket for shampoo, one for rinsing your mitt or sponge with a grit guard to help remove dirt, and one for wheels.

Start with a pre-wash for a deeper clean, follow up with a shampoo, and for a really thorough job, a clay bar will remove all tracers of contamination.
